Goldie could hear his Mommy calling out his name
telling him how much she and wee Abby missed
him. The sound of her voice filled his heart
with joy. He remembered sitting with Abby in
his doggie bed sharing treats his mommy gave them.
She told them every day how much she loved them
and they were the center of her heart. Her
happy giggles as he rolled on his back and
she told him "come on Goldie get them
wee legs in the air". He would kick
then higher to make her smile.
The sound of the freezer was one
of his favourite sounds, running
to see what treats his Mommy
had for him and Abs.
A Golden Kitty named Muffin taught
him one day how to watch over his
Mommy and Abby in the blue
waters that flow beneath Rainbow
Bridge.
He could see his mum holding a small
bag of his fur and talking to him. He heard
each word of love she would say to him
as she gently caressed his fur. He wished
he could wipe her tears away as the
waves of sorrow came to her. One day
they would be together and he would.
Then they will never be parted.
He often went to gaze at the shrine
lovingly made for him in his doggie
bed. Filled with Goldie's
favourite teddy bears, photos
and toys lots of toys.
When the keeper of the winds
helped him ride on the winds of
peace to visit his Mum and Abby
he would sit in his spots. Abbey
could feel him near and would look
to where Goldie was sitting.
Whispering "I know you are here
big brother. We love you.
"I am never far from you my Abbey,
I am very close to you and Mum.
I am in your hearts, I am in the
tears that fall and wash the pain
away".
Till the day we are together my
love is always yours.
