FILER - Phillis Kale Frazier, 66, of Filer, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at her home in Filer.
Phillis was born July 1, 1943, near Sheldon, Mo. At age 6, her family moved to the Magic Valley. She spent her youth and school years in Jerome and Eden and went to Valley High School, which she enjoyed very much.
After school, she married Henry Schwab; together they had six children, all boys. They were later divorced. While working as a police dispatcher in Buhl, she met the love of her life, Richard Frazier. They were married and Richard adopted her boys who became their "Dad." Phillis and Richard lived together in Filer until his passing in 2001. Phillis had many interests and talents. She wrote poetry and had several poems published in the "Great American Book of Poetry." She was active in her church and enjoyed lifting up the congregation with her organ playing.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Dale Smith; husband, Richard Frazier; and sons, Shane Frazier and Blaine Frazier. She is survived by her mother, Loretta Smith of Filer; sons, Gary Frazier of Great Falls, Mont., Dwayne Frazier of Filer, Casey Frazier of Buhl and Tracey Frazier of Twin Falls; brother, Donald Lee Dade of Fort Mojave, Ariz.; sister, Loretta P. Whaley of Filer; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, at In His Name Christian Fellowship Church in Filer. Inurnment will follow the service at the Filer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farmer Funeral Chapel of Buhl.
