Did you know how much I loved you
and that I always will?.
Did I tell you as often as I should have
or do you wonder still?
Do you know how hard I prayed
and how much I wanted you to stay?
Did you know my heart was breaking
when i sent you on your way?

As time went on and you grew tired
and there was no more I could do.
I began to pary for your pain to end
but there was no way I could help you.
Then God sent an angel
to take you to the other side.
One who made all your suffering end
for he knew how hard I tried.

He needed your tiny soul up there
to add joy to heaven above.
One like you who had such a very
special kind of love.
So with tears falling like the gentle rain
I said one last goodbye.
And knew that we would meet again
where we will never cry

So be happy there my little one
and play and wait for me.
One day I will join you there,
just have faith and you will see.
Our joy will fill the earth and sky
on that happy day
And no more will we be apart,
for I will come to stay.
