Our Beloved Macy To My Beloved Sister I was there before you were born I saw you at your homecoming, I could ony stare at you in amazement I knew that I loved you the very first time I was graced with your presence I was lucky enough to witness your first smile and laugh Your first steps, and many other "firsts" with you Watching you grow for your first 4 years of life was my greatest pleasure You were the best companion and play mate that a dog could have You loved me and kept me company through all my days with you Quickly, you became the light of my life In just hearing your footsteps or voice, I could be motivated to do anything you wanted me to or just to be where you were My days were so brightened in meeting up with you I followed you everywhere that I could go with you I guarded and protected you with all that I had My time with you was short in the overall scheme of things And in considering what is involved in a lifetime But even though that time was short and came to an end My love for you is everlasting I know that you have such a long way to go in you life yet My wish is that you will always remember your time with me And our love for one another I will spend my eternity watching over you, thinking of you, And treasuring the memories of our times together Whenever the going seems rought or when love seems scarce, Just remember that I am with you in spirit, We will meet again at the rainbow, and I am remembering and loving you Inspired by your dog, Macy Written by your mother © Anne Sponseller
