WHISPERS ON THE WIND

Pooky was sitting in the sun by the waters
that ran under Rainbow Bridge . He heard his
Daddy's voice. It was filled with tears and pain.
Pooky looked into the waters and could see his
Daddy hugging his sister Chancey.

Pooky's heart felt the pain his father's
was feeling as he said good bye to
his girl. Chance closed her eyes, and
drifted off to sleep with her Daddy's
words of love close to her soul.

Pooky felt a gentle touch on his shoulder.
He turned around to look into the eyes
of his little sister Chancey.
'I know you, you’re my brother Pooky.
How did I get here? I can still feel
our Daddy's hug'

Pooky moved closer to his sister to
give her comfort, he remembered how
he had felt when he first came to the Bridge.
He wanted to make sure that Chance knew
that this was just a temporary separation, and one day
she would be with her Daddy again.

'Do you remember being ill Chance?' Chance's
eyes widened with surprise as she realized
that she felt strong again and wanted to run
and play.

She heard Powder's howl heralding her arrival
at the bridge. Chance was sure he would continue
until he knew she was safe at the bridge. He was
also letting his Daddy know he was loved.

'I need to go to them Pooky, they need me' Chance
sighed as she heard her Daddy telling Mommy that
she was at the bridge. Wanting to go let them
know she was well again.

Chance heard a kind voice come from behind her.
Don't worry Sister they have each other to lean
on. Your Daddy has many cubs who will reach
out to him.'

Chance found herself looking into the most
beautiful blue eyes she had ever seen. ShiShi
had come to greet her sister and help
ease her arrival at the bridge.

The three siblings heard their daddy's voice
reading some of his poems in tribute to
his bridge babies. 'Come sit with us Chancey,
We will listen to our Daddy's voice as he reads.
Later ShiShi and I will show you how to watch
over our family. There are many who are waiting
to greet you.

Later that night Chance looked into the starry night
sending her love in the twinkle of a silver star.
She had become one of the Stars that watch over
her beloved Daddy.

Light a candle in Chance's memory, for a sick, abused, or special needs furbaby, or perhaps just someone who needs a prayer and a candle lit.
