After the storm had blown away,
I saw a rainbow up above.
it spoke to me of peace,
it spoke to me of love.
I saw the rainbow glowing,
as it replaced the stormy skies,
I felt a fear down deep inside,
as it reflected in my eyes.
In a shadow I stood there,
tall and strong and bold,
on my cheeks ran silver teardrops,
some were new and some were old.
My love for you
glows in each silver tear,
the colors run together now,
and wipes away my fears.

I gaze at your rainbow resting
place and wish you peaceful dreams
I keep you near for in our dreams
we touch, again floating on the stars
You are the face that is in my
dreams as I call your name
Come to me my loves ease my
heart and mind that you are near
To see you amongst the loves
of my heart family, never alone
Dream glances of peaceful
angels of the Rainbow.
I awaken from joyful dreams
of seeing you standing strong
To gaze at your Rainbow resting
place, Till we meet in our dreams
When the stars come out and
guide me to you. I wish you good morning
My gentle ones. God holds you
safe in the palm of his hand
Till my arms can hold you,
never to let go.
Held in my heart, in dreams
we will always touch.

I look into the mirror with red-rimmed eyes
And see pain filled eyes looking back at me,
The pain in my soul and a deep sense of loss
Color my perception of the person that I see.
Slowly vision shifts and I see someone else,
The person that I was before we ever met.
And as I watch over time I see the changes,
Gifts that your presence and love did beget.
And I feel a soothing touch brush me lightly,
And I feel a calming warmth touch my soul,
And I see there looking back in the mirror,
The parts of you in me that make me whole.
As long as I am here your light will go on,
The parts that are you are the best parts of me.
I know in my heart I am better for your love,
I know who you are has set my spirit free.
The vessel that had held your light is shattered.
You have traveled ahead, your tasks here done.
For now you watch over and guide me with love,
Until the day we travel on forever more as one.
